Welcome, great choice in colour. :) think I saw you at Burswood Opel a while back you were talking to Steve about when your car will arrive. Think we are trying to organise a bit cruise/meet beginning of July hopefully you can come along.

Hey Nigel, sounds like a great idea - I'll definitely be up for that :)

Agree with that^^^

Any reason you opted for the 19s rather than the 20s?

Just noticed as well 19s and the satin chrome grille, maybe the colour coded does come with the 20s?

They must be heaps cheaper in Perth.

Prity sure they are in the most expensive bracket because of the dealer delivery price, some states I heard are cheaper not 100% sure tho

According to the Opel-Australia site W.A pays the most for OPC's. However regular Opels are the same price as NSW's etc.

And I think our statutory charges are a bit more expensive than other states.
Appears the initial take-up on Astra OPC`s has been better the VXR`s when they were new.

Yeah It does, I hope not that many are sold all up tho I dont wont them to be too common I see way to many RS megane's these days.

I thought the 20's were a bit much, personally; I prefer the comparatively understated look of the 19's. More practical as my daily driver also, I'll be clocking a lot of km's in it.

And your wallet will probably be a bit happier when it comes time to replace tyres !

$1000 for 20" rims and tyres is a bargain though....

Actually, I looked into this before anything else.

The 20" tyres are more common in Aus (thanks to commonwhores) and are cheaper than the 19"s if you know where to buy! :P

Well there you go !
Conti`s in 19`s are close to 30% more than Conti`s in 18`s. I expected that 20`s may be a similar premium.

Very nice mate, welcome and congrats!

Hope to see you out and about and on a few cruises :)

That's $1000 upgrade cost on top of whatever the 19's are, since they will be factored into the base cost!

The wheels (to replace) are close to $800 each for the 20's and the P-Zero tyres to wrap them is almost the same - so factor $6000 for a set of 20's with tyres, I doubt Opel would charge anything less in the purchase price of the car! Let's face it, they're out to make money :)

Just picked my black OPC from Burswood. Fresh out of the box 228Kw at the wheels.
Was it yours that had some one park "in" your rear bumber ??

228 at the wheels? Astra is 206 at the fly and Insignia is 239 at the fly... I'm a little confused there :P

Maybe he means 228hp at the wheels. Its about 275hp at the flywheel minus about 17% for drive train loss.

Yer that's a fairly huge increase over stock. I would say 170kw (228hp) atw sounds more reasonable.

Which is a 17% loss, exactly as chrissn89 has said.
