Hey guys. picked up a canon 1100D the other day and have been playing round with it.

im no photographer but i think i took some ok photos :)

nah i gotta grab some... looking at fleabay and there are heaps of extras i can get for it..

I have that cameras pre model and have had it for 3-4 years and haven't ever needed to get anything.
Only downside it's old school memory cards that are harder to find now...
Grab a 50mm lens for it for the bad ass close ups and you will be sweet!

18-55mm image stabilizer lense with macro.

Yeh that's the standard that most come with, grabs the little one for sure it's only like $150 max brand new

Nice one
Before you go out buy all these extras, learn to use all the camera features first. You'll be surprised at how much it can do without buying stuff.

If you're new to the DSLR I'd recommend the following
a) Don't get sucked in by more expensive camera gear - mastering your camera and developing skills will take you further!
b) Get your hands on some Kelby guides if you're starting out - I learnt heaps from them.
c) Learn about lighting!
