BMW Australia says about 17,500 owners of affected BMW 1-Series, 3-Series and Z4 models will be asked back to the dealership to fix a faulty battery connection, which could cause the vehicle to stall

This was an unofficial recall a couple years back, must have had more cases of late to warrant a mass recall!

Although that battery connection parts supplier may have been given the flick...
