Just wondering what you guys do at each service interval...

e.g. fuel filter @ 10,000k? oil+filter every 5000k? air filter every 40,000k?

i know that the service book has reference intervals but they are rather generous

btw. do you do any of the work yourself?

For cars from 2001 (petrol)
Main Dealer Service Schedule

1st service 12 months/20,000 miles (also 3years/60k)
oil & filter

2nd service 24 months/40,000 miles (also 5years/80k)
oil & filter
fuel filter
(if the car has not done 40,000 these 2 items are ALL  they will do unless requested)
air filter
plugs
pollen (optional at customer request)
brake fluid (optional at customer request)
key fob battery (optional at customer request)

so if you had you car 6 years and did low milage ie only 30,000 miles in that 6 years the dealer would never change the plugs or air filter unless you told them to !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the dealer I work for charges   GBP££82.50/AUD$$208.20 per hour for this pleasure.....................

So after the warranty has run out we usually never see these customers again LOL

Thats expensive! here its about AUD$90/hr

I just managed to change my fuel filter (after about 30,000ks of running BP ultimate)

took me a long time but will only take 5 mins next time.
