Hey,

I have an SRI Barina. The centre console is moulded and the stereo is part of the console. How can i get a custom stereo put into the car ??

Is here any comaniesthat have a mould that i can buy for this car that will let me incorperate an aftermaket deck?

I look forward to some insight into this and would be really interested in what you all have done in this instance. I am sure there is loads of people with cd players added to this car.

If you have pics attach away please :D :D

ok i have an alpine deck in my car unfortunatly no picks. i had the sterio place make up an mdf thingy to fill the space that was left from the original sterio. they had it painted in the exact colour to match the dash looks factory. or if you can be botherd ive heard opel does an aftermarket sleeve that fills the original hole so you can have your aftermarket unit look just like factory. i think the mdf thingy that i had made up cost about $50 including paint.
p.s you will be realy surprised as to how good the factory spits sound with a decent headunit not show quality but pretty damn good

You can buy adaptors but I am not sure where, search these forums I am sure you will find the answer to that. I think Blaupunkt HU's will connect straight up to your steering wheel controls.

You can buy adaptors from the UK to suit Kenwood, Sony, most of the major manufacturers...

Yeah I know i can buy the adapters as i want to use the steering wheel controls and also the lcd display. My question relates to the control panel modifications that have to be made. Anyone got any pics of what they have done to fit in the new deck?

By the way. Just done the badge changes on my car. Here are the pics hot off the press. Let me know what you think

Nikdan1 had a new head unit installed which is conected to his steering wheels controls and the display not only shows on the head unit but on the little screen that has the clock on it
