Hi guys

Just a quick question, I have tried to use the search function on this website and tried to google it as well but with no luck. I thought it would be easier to ask the brainiacs here for the answer. How many of these models were bought into Australia and how many sold?

My friend just bought a Vectra 2.5 and he loves it - but he finds it hard to get parts for this particular model at the wreckers. He used to work for Toyota so he is pretty well knowledged in car maintenance and the like. His first venture into an Opel car and he loves it. I have converted at least one of my friends lol

Merry christmas and happy new year all

Best bet is to source parts from overseas, autovaux, ebay.co.uk, ebay.de etc

The X25XE was also in the later model V6 Calibras, but not very many of them made it to Australia.

hi mate, cant say how many 2.5 came to Aus but i do know they becoming more and more rare. I also have the 2.5 and as far as parts go if i really need it in a hurry ill go to holden or repco. My preferred choice is autovaux as they are so much cheaper than holden even with postage and they both source the parts from the same place so if they havnt got it in youll be waiting up to 2 weeks anyway. autovaux can send by courier for extra which will arrive in around 3 -4 days.

He should get some e-torx sockets ($30) and a t45 socket ($5 for sump plug + others) from supercheap and a set of click-r pliers for the plenum clips from uk ebay.
That way he can do his own oil and spark plug change, heres some info to help him to that and some manuals. I also have the vectra haynes manual but it only covers up to 2.2 but i do use it for everything but the engine. if you want it let me know as its 100mb and ill have to upload it to mediafire.
