Hi All
My son & I have just joined because he has just bought his first car, a Red 1973 Opel GT. He is only 15 and has worked hard to get the money together to buy the GT...not bad for a first car.
It is an unfinished project we are bringing in from the states. We are old hands at classics though, he has helped me from a young age working on my old cars. So the Opel should hopefully be pretty straight forward to fiinish off.
I didn't know anything about these old GT's until he announced that was the car he wanted. But I think they are a good looking coupe and happy for him that it is a pre EFI pre turbo 4 cylinder so hope he will be pretty safe.
I don't know if there are many "old school" Opels here...so if there are we would love to hear from you. I am paricularly interested to know more about the 1.9L "Cam In Head" engine and if any of these engines get down under in any other cars.
Cheers
Phil & Luke
