View Full Version : Removing headliner grab handles: is it legal?

I'm not sure if they're an ADR requirement or not. The idea is to smooth over the headliner recesses where you slide your hands under the roof grab handles and put blingier courtesy lights in their place, and recovering the headliner with carbon fibre.
Also toying with the idea of old-world style leather grab straps in their place for something different so as to match the leather seats, door cards and accents in the headliner (Bentley style).
Any ideas?

i thought you knew the adr regulations?

i don't have the time to search for the exact section of the adr's for it now.
but jist of it is.
must be installed if came with from factory.
there is also a weight limit it must support.
driver does not require one.

I still (think I) have an idea regarding airbags, but I claim ignorance otherwise.
