Nemo is running 1:26, 2 seconds quicker than cyber evos times in 2011 of 1:28

Hell yeah got some mates that do 1:55 around in there evo 8mrs and rexs. Just shows how race car fast they all really are.
30 seconds quicker is nuts!

Tarzan Eiji Yamada managed a 1:28.8510 last year and they are already 2 seconds quicker!!!

My fastest lap at EC years ago was a 1:48 or 1:49 IIRC and I thought I was going to kill myself doing it (nearly did two laps later)!!

These TA cars and drivers are insanely quick with the aero the sport now, its fantastic!!!!.

An example exactly how quick:

GT Sports Cars Lamborghini Gallardo 1:28.8814 15 July 2012
Supersports Radical SR3 1:30.7096 21 June 2009
V8 Supercar Holden VT Commodore 1:31.7301 28 March 1999 (will be interesting where they are now when they come back on the 26th August)
A1GP Lola A1GP Zytek 1:19.1420 4 February 2007

And the BYP Racing Civic has thrown down a 1:37.8050!!! For a FWD thats seriously quick!!! So I need to be aiming for a 1:35 in the Astra next year by the looks of it, as long as its someone else driving it!!!! Say hello to my new friend, John Boston!! :D

Very nice. He was a little worried about that S2000 from what I gathered.

"50/50 weight distribution my ass" seems to sound familiar

gman

Yeah the S2000 needs a little pace for aero, but it then does two things, makes it very sensitive and quick to snap. Also not so good for low speed corners..

Man I wish the Astra was ready and I could have been there!!! :(

Nemo 1:25:74!!! SERIOUSLY!!!

Yep! Got some serious pace!

The data from the Nemo Evo is 260KPH on the front straight, flat throttle through turn 1 where it pulls 2.92G's.

That is damn impressive to say the least.

mickos

I heard nemo was also running slower down the straight than some other cars by 20+kphr

gman
14th August 2012, 05:58 PM
Yep. The Tilton Evo was closer to 300kph but what Nemo lacked in straight line speed due to aero drag it made up for in corner speed which makes it all the more impressive IMHO...

2.92G is a huge amount of cornering force for a sedan running r-compound tyres

Yup....corner speed is where the time is made up.
