My Astra AH 6.5 SRI Turbo is awesome!!!!

Hey guys,

I'm not sure where to put this, so here goes...

I picked up my Astra on Thursday from Sydney and drove it home to Cairns over three days. The engine and interior is standard. The exterior is fully "Opelised"

That is 2850 kms. I have to say that I am so impressed with the car. It drives incredibly well. Throttle response is excellent, and that's even without pressing the super sports button. Overtaking is a breeze and i can't believe how economic the car is.

The only thing I don't like is the fact that there is no iPod connectivity to the radio. Are there any radio's from later models that have iPod integration and can still control the on board computer?

All in all the car is F***EN amazing and I'm so glad to be part of the Opel family!

Glad you are enjoying it. They are a great car!
As for the stereo. Your best bet would be getting something aftermarket installed. If you still wanted to keep the "standard" look, there are a heap of stereos that are built for the AH astra that just plug straight in. Do a search on ebay for VXMMI, Zenec, or Eonon.

The drive up here was so comfortable, although, like I said, I can't wait to get one of those VXMMI head units... Oh, and the domed sticker for the steering wheel! :P

Yeah, full service history... It looked and smelled like a new car! (Except for the rear bar that got hit in a car park)
