Hey guys,

Happy to say I have bought my first turbo car, and couldn't be happier. Just a quick question if anyone on here could help me out. I have looked or ages on here, but can't find any newish posts about flashing the ecu. Everything seems to be from 07-08. Is there someone on here that still sells them?

EDS-IPF seems to be the favourite, search for either EDS or IPF and you should find a wealth of information

Congratulations on the new car, what year is it??

As said above, EDS IPF is your best bet, the unit can be purchased through the Regal website www.regal-shop.co.uk for both SRi-T models!!

Thanks guys. So $750 AUD is pretty much the going price for the EDS IPF? It's a 2003 model with 150k in amazing condition. The only mod I know of is a cheap pod filter so the car is very loud when it comes of boost. I'm going to put the stock air box back on to quieten it down but don't want to loose all the sound! Here's some pics.

nice ride buddy, $750 sounds about right, if anything its on the cheaper side. Im pretty sure itll be the cheapest power gain for the price and will definately put a smile on your face :)

I got a great price in my EDS when I bought it from their website direct. No more than $580 in about June last year

Big win, congrats. The Arden blue sri-t is a classic. Lots of info on here for your modding.
Aside from your ECU do have other plans for it?

Cheers guys. Yea she's really clean inside and out. I will admit I didn't even know these turbo astras existed before looking around for cars so I'm stoked that I came across them. I plan on keeping it pretty stock, except for the ecu for now. I do however want to chuck some projector headlights in with some xenon bulbs so I get a clean sharp cut of line. I guess you're talking about the hill up king edward park? Absolutely love it. They do a hill climb competition up there every year. Stupid question, but how do I know if my car has already been flashed? It does feel really fast and smoked this turbo 180sx several times on my way home from work tonight. I would hate to fork out for the flash then realise I already have it done lol

If its got a boost gauge you can check how much boost its running anything above 7 psi its more likely to be flashed.

Yea don't have a boost gauge yet so might get onto that before going ahead with the flash. Thanks for that 03srit

Or you could check it on a dyno to be more accurate.

Welcome mate and nice car you've got there. Keep in mind thought that some cars require a new clutch after a remap but then again, some don't.

Cheers dutchy. Yea thanks for the heads up but it's just had a new hd clutch put in before the sale so should be sweet!

So I installed the boost gauge and it's reading max about 9-10 then drops back down to 7-8 so I have gone ahead and order the EDS IPF for about $650. Bring on the Boost!!
