Hi all...

I too have been on this site for a while reading up on the many methods of brotek. I'm really looking forward to turning the Holden Astra in to a Bropel.
I'm kind of late in to driving and modding, this is my first car and I'm now 30. I've always been in to cars but had other interests to suck a hole in my wallet.

I'm one of the masses that thought the Astra was a girls car so it seemed fitting that I named my car Giney.
Giney is an 2004.5 Astra GTS...wait I mean 2004.5 Astra G. TS series :rofl1:

My mate is holding out on her DSLR so iPhone pics will have to do for now.

Some battle damage

This is just shameful. Still can't believe I took a scourer to the bonnet...I know how sensitive paint is I just didn't think.
I'd just cleaned the wheels and had the scourer in my hand and the spots wouldn't come off so...

This (apart from being mine) is the best feature of the car.

Mods to come can be found in the Members Cars section.

Cheers.

Some polish and a bit of elbow grease should get rid of most of those scourer marks on the bonnet.
But please, never use a scourer on your car again

I know right...a freaking scourer?! That's how I came up with my user name.:wink5: Saw the same Scooby in my area (Lower north shore of Syd) about a year ago.
Looks amazing!

Welcome mate, I was a bit skeptical about buying an astra till I actually got one, then my whole perspective of them changed completely.
I've got a bit of battle damage on mine too which is unfortunate. Hopefully it will become a bropel.
Any specific plans for Giney? Or just doing what comes up?

Thanks for the welcome all.

Les - There will be mods...don't think I'd have registered if I wasn't going to mod it :swg:. Head over to members rides for my plans.

Cheers bud. The bug has bitten, always scoping auction sites for bits. Everytime you spot something it's like finding gold while pan handling.
