Yep it's that time of year again.

Now I've done the forum update and ironed the bugs out (mostly) let's add some more goodies.

And no a chat box will not be included so please don't ask for it.

I will update this list as the thread goes on and implement them as I can

Some new themes will be added in a variety of Opel Colours
Updated For Sale section - Will be easier to post items.

how about paid membership a la migweb?
http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/mig-announcements-news/37696-about-migclub.html

I can supply stickers at 0% profit that will make it economically viable and without taking business away from hazrd as the sticker will be part of the pack that is benefiting the forum
i.e. people will still have the opportunity to purchase the 3d sticker but if people cannot justify paying that much, they can buy the pack

this is one of the designs I created:

I was a guinea pig on another vb site where for sale threads were locked to everyone except the OP so they didn't get filled with spam, seemed to work well?

The problem with memberships has come to light several times before.
- trades discounts. most holden dealerships dont want to know about an Opel.
- club events. the country is too spread out to make this feasible for anyone

The for sale section has been one of my main annoyances in the last few months.

It works, then doesn't, even though nothing has been changed.

Will look into a different format or settings for it

Let me know if you need anything for it. I have no idea how to do it, but can always ask ;)

I was thinking more for upgraded membership like uploading to an opelaus gallery and larger inbox cap with the fee going to that extra bandwidth

A standard form for the Spotted Section? Something like the 'For Sale' Section maybe?

Sorry dude. Like pete said its been bought up in the past and there is no need for it.
Also sorry but that sticker design looks a bit outdated. The ones hazrd organises are done at no profit and look very modern and stylish.

0 profit at that price? the sticker manufacturer must be rolling in it
let's just say it cost roughly 3% of what the other stickers cost to make mine in any design I want
and that's organizing it myself with no discount and postage included

It is my opinion that people should have more than one option, some people will buy a BMW but others can only afford a proton
and I know most of you will buy from Hazrd but I couldn't justify spending that much on a sticker (which is half my weekly shopping budget), that's why I sourced my own and designed my own.

I was just making a suggestion, geez Guy, I wasn't saying that sticker specifically just as an example...
I'm sorry I'm tarnishing the name of opelaus by putting it on a daewoo... you don't have to shoot me down like that and personally attack my design

I hope you can understand Guy, it's just a shame I had to justify my existance to you...

I dont remember reading anything about the daewoo in guy's post, just the sticker looking outdated (which is just an opinion). I'm sure it wasnt a personal attack, so I'm not really sure why you're taking it that way

Is the donations thing still running?
I thought that was a good idea, and a good way to generate a bit of operating revenue from members who appreciate the site.

That was scrapped as it wasn't enough to keep the forum running.

Hence why we have adds top and bottom now ;)

post edited... you're right Glider, he didn't say anything about daewoo
I was just trying to figure out why he said what he did.

I said that it was ONE of my designs. I designed the daewootech.com sticker too and I think they both look pretty damn good.

there was no need to say anything... that's my issue, Pete had already said no to the idea so it needed no further comment.
anyway, it's my sticker and I can make it look however I want it to look

My rambling on has stretched too many posts and I believe it has gone off topic
but please, everybody feel free to put some thought and effort in to an idea so I too can share my opinion, it's not fair you have all gotten to pick on me :D

with the ads, do they have to be clicked on for them to generate revenue?

Re: stickers is it possible to find another cutter for the 2d design that was selling on the shamrock site? Will be cheaper than the 3ds and is still a fresh look... Just doesn't stand out as much

Plus it's still the sites intelectual property

Yes - But I need something of actual importance with useful information first.

Now vBulletin has the Facebook "like" at the top of threads I will consider it, but less likely to implement it
