Would be deemed illegal in Aust as you are not in 'full control' of the motor vehicle- and rightly so.

Like even how remote engine starts are illegal here.

I wouldn't fully trust an electronic device in situations like that- knowing VW it will somehow fuk up and kill someone.. haha

Bahahaha so true. Well as long as politics don't get in the way and a grey area is found somewhere that allows the feature in the country we should be right

Hahahaha

What a gimmick - so you stop in the middle of traffic, get out of your car, go to sidewalk, get phone out, load the app and then park your car.

And it looks like an iFail as well - you'd want to be holding it correctly in case the signal goes on it and the car goes nuts.... :p

imagine using the 'G' sensor to park. you would be up for manslaugher after killing 20 people just by accidentally sneezing whilst parking your car :p

It may be handy if the parking space is narrow thereby preventing getting out of the car once it's parked.

VW already has an almost auto parking thing in their cars (mine has it) where you drive past a spot, stick it in reverse and just operate the brake. The car steers itself and parks.

Tried it once and it works a treat, but i can't get used to the feeling of the car "steering" itself so I refuse to use it...

If you can't park a car without "assistance" then you shouldnt be driving at all...

Do it like I did, on my driving test, reverse parked a car without power steering, perfect score :)

And have never done it since

As someone said before, it would be good for tight parking spots. You and me could just get out of the sunroof.

Sent from the MAGI.

I is immune to calibra jokes, seeing the orange thing sitting in the driveway everyday does that

You should just put a standalone ECU in the thing!! At least then it would run...Maybe..

poita
16th January 2012, 05:13 PM
You mean like a Link G4 ?

No ECU will fix blown rings

gman
16th January 2012, 05:28 PM
Yeah Link G4 isn't too bad (let me guess you're already running one?? ).

So the engine is actually stuffed??
