Hi everybody!

My name is Renato Melo and I have a 2009 Vectra. It's a pleasure to share some impressions of this great car with you.

My car have a 2.4 16v (150cv) engine and is able to run with gasoline and/or ethanol (known in Brazil as flexfuel).

Enjoy some pictures:

Thank you guys. Yes, here in Brazil we have some "strange" decisions by GM. In fact we only have Opel models produced here: Astra, Vectra, Meriva, Zafira and Corsa. Omega (your Holden Commodore) is also sold here. Nowadays they are changing, Cobalt and Cruze are ready to go and Corsa, Vectra and Astra to get out.

The Vectra sold in the past here were the "A" (imported from Germany) and "B" that was produced here. This Vectra (like my one) is called "C" but it is an Astra.

Engines have no similarities. Our base are the older Monza family. Originally produced with 1.6 and 1.8 liters, these growth to 2.0, 2.2 and 2.4 liters (with 16v head). These two have a "giant" stroke crankshaft (100 mm). If you think about vibration, yes they are "vibrating".

Welcome to the forum :)

I was going to say, it looked like an Astra with a boot rather than an actual Vectra.

if I'm not mistaken thats a Veccy dash.... the Astra's didnt have a temp gauge...

Correct. Not having a temp gauge sucks!!

Although the rest of the interior is indeed very astra-like.

I am just joking, due this is sold as a Vectra here in Brazil but it is, in fact, the European Astra (former model).
