Just fitted new rims/tyres to daughters SRi and she was asking about some extra bling in the form of a red sidewall stripe on each wheel, so who in Adelaide and how much ?

Get her some red Alloy Gators. They give a similar effect, but will stop her from kurbing the wheels, which you will both be thankful later when she inevitably scrapes them along the gutter.

They are sold at Malz in WA, I'm sure you've got similar stores in SA.

The alloy gator website shows how the kurb can't get to the wheel to damage it. And no disrespect intended. I still kerb mine on occasion. I will be investing in these once they are refurbed.

Thanks can go to Brenton (gmonkey) for showing me these things by the way! :)

Also called rimskins. I bought some for my old wheels but never got around to fitting them. They cost $100 plus $25 freight as they had to be ordered in from autobarn. They stock grey and black ones but I wanted red. And come as a set of 5 with cleaner etc. I'm sure iv still got mine somewhere...

You just cut them to size for your rim, so that's one less thing to worry about!

I am lead to believe that Rimskins are an adhesive style whereas the gators are attached into the lip of the wheel using a rubber mallet :)
