I like the sunny melon colour and the overall look of the car - nothing a little modding couldn't fix. Although not much in the way of performance. Hopefully there will be an OPC/VXR variant.

yeh 132kw z16ler is pretty dull compared to what it could be.. has been a decent tuning platform but

I'm sure the OPC/VXR variant will not be short on power or performance...

Looks nice in yellow and alot like Megane RS250 LOL but I too prefer that 'sunny melon' colour :)

Can't wait to see if they release a 2 door roadster twin top variant with the drivetrain of the OPC/VXR as I read somewhere they are going to do and it wouldn't surprise me either to compete, as VW are definitely releasing Gti and/or R variants of the Golf convertible soon...

3" Exhaust and a tune brings it up to the current vxr OE spec, minus about 20nm of torque.

Didn't they state they wanted a bigger platform (something between the Astra and the Insignia) for a convertible? Or was that a piece of classic misinformation again?

Well the standard GTC has a longer wheelbase and is wider than the 5 door astra. So perfect platform for a vert?

Designed to blow away the competition, the 1.6-liter turbo has been outfitted with a high-performance needle valve (€980), higher-quality connecting rods (€550), larger fuel injectors (€500), and an HG Motorsport turbo manifold (€1,200). Furthermore, the company installs a Garret GT28 turbocharger (€1,000), a custom intercooler (€600), a 100mm air-flow meter (€300), a 7mm downpipe (€800), and a stainless steel sport exhaust system (€800).

I hope the downpipe is bigger than that

I think I'm doing it wrong when I got the bigger downpipe, should have gone smaller... haha

I'm not sure which is the bigger typo- a 7mm downpipe, or a downpipe that cost €800

The GT28 seems like a bargain in comparison!

Yeah, the downpipe is only €189. That motor is also the LET version where as the GTC is running the LER, same as in the corsa vxr?

New pants ??
The cost of puchasing all those parts would wear a hole in your pockets !

Most if not all verts are based on the same platform as their other same model siblings :)

Verts usually get the boot from the sedan or coupe variant...

However what's interesting in this new AJ is the 'possibilty' of a 2 seater roadster version....HOT !!! can only hope :)
