Have a read.

Wonder if these models will be offered in Australia at launch.
Seems very good business sense to offer a large sedan and a 4WD in the line up.

Just needs to lose the chrome and the hideous Buick Grille.

I like the look of the lacrosse though.

Lose the Buick styling (i.e. excess chromage, particularly those wheels!), and the 4wd will look fairly ordinary - it could have an opel style face put on relatively easily. Opel have a long history of borrowing 4WD designs and doing reasonably well out of them, so this will probably be the proverbial "useful addition to the lineup".
Not sure on the LaCrosse. Somehow looks like a big Epica with shiny teeth. It will be interesting to see what Opel does with it. (Anyone know if it's FF or FR, and what the platform history is?)

The General could also take advantage of its global footprint by building the Opel version of the LaCrosse or Enclave in the U.S. or even China, where labor is cheaper than in Germany. That could scupper the entire thing though.

I have only one thing to say to that: "Opel Sintra (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opel_Sintra)". GM: You have tried that before - and it didn't work.

Answering my own question, it's an Insignia with a bigger more American body on it. So Opel will recognise it underneath - the question will be is it different enough from the Insignia to be worth having in parallel?

Hmmm, looks very Hyundi-ish and Kia-ish, not that there's anything wrong with that :)
