ok this is the second time i'm gonna post this as my first one just vanished without eva appearing 4 sum reason
Anyway,
I'm wanting to get ideas as to what i can get for my car for chrissy
price tag approx $500
preferences:
1. More Power
2. Aesthetic
i already have a 2 inch cat back, eibach springs, decent stereo, opelised, air filter etc
another question, seperate, do you guys, and gals think it would be weird if my car had a racing seat for the driver and normal seat for passenger??

Not sure performance wise wat u can get for around 500 big ones, a remap would be nice but that'll set u back a touch more. As for looks, adding some rear tail lights would add even more class to your ride. Not sure of the price but assuming it'd be around 500 ish.. I dunno!

As for the single racing seat, bit of a mix, I wouldn't care in my car, stuff it i'm the one driving it as long as i'm comfy! Probably would seem a little out of place, but then also add that racey feeling..

how much does colour coding cause i really hate those dodgey black strips, yuck makes it look like a toy car, also on the turbo the wheel arches have studs in them, can u get those put in, i quite like them

depends if boreing is actually a feesable option

don't forget it cost a fortune to install the seat
and burn another hole to get it engineered

Get some tints and invest in a B&M short shifter: aesthetic + performance.
You can thank me later

lol
i'm prolly just gonna go with the colour coding
or a big bore throttle body, depending on what various workshops say
as for the seat, its an older model sparco seat, i htink it may actually be adr approved, if not can't i get a seperate set of rails, mount them into the car then when i get my green slip just take out the racing seat and slide in my old one??
EGG80X
6th November 2004, 11:21 AM
don't use your existing seat rails to mount the bucket seat, i know its the cheaper way out..... depends on the car, once the bucket seat is mount on the existing seat rails, its unlikely u can bolt the stock seat back on... (best to ask a pro, such as quick fit in Hornsby)
like i stated earlier all fixed bucket seat is not adr approved, u will know if it is adr approved, there should be a red tag on the seat with ADR #23 and a serial number on the tag
well if u r not getting it engineered, then its a risk u r willing to take....... meaning defect from the police and rta plus voiding your insurance in case of an accident....

Thought you were talking about the fairer sex there!
:P
Just ring your insurer and ask if its okay. No point getting it engineered if they don't like it!
