the new golf cabrio just looks like a glorified eos imo

and this one doesnt look too bad i guess, would want a better motor than what the former astra H vert had (z22yh) coz that was terrible due to the weight of it. oh, and if they name it a calibra, they will never make it out of the showroom :lol:

i'm a bit confused as to why they would show it with a cloth top. The Tigra and Astra H vert both went to hard tops.

There were a few custom convertible Manta's which were called the centaur "The cars were developed by Magraw Engineering and sold through Vauxhall dealerships on behalf of Crayford."

+1 - totally inappropriate for both. Could dig up a few old Vauxhall names that would suit - but probably from era when Vauxhall was naming stuff, and they don't end in 'A'....

id rather it be the tigra.. but due to its on astras platform it seems not corsa (even though the latest tigra was a bit of corsa c and astra h styling) so probs astra droptop leaving room for twintop aswell :p

I wouldn't mind either soft top or hard top, preferably hard top would be the way to go...

Hopefully it'll end up being a vert twin top variant of the AJ VXR with the hard top - HOT :D

Where as for me the new manta *COUGH* Astra J vert looks real boring. O.K boring is harsh. But a little plain if its going to take the Manta nameplate.

A proposed 2 seater roadster AJ twin top (hard top) vert...this one if it materialises will have the full whack turbo 4 powerplant option as well, not so boring me thinks, it's absolutely HOT :p
