Hi guys, i just went out and bought myself a Glassylite headlight resto kit.

Now, the question is

is it better to take the headlight covers off of the car first or can you do it on the car with the same effect? (in the book it says careful not to get it on the paint so im assuming they do it on the car).

And if it is better to take out, what do i need to take out to get the headlight covers off.

from what i can see the front grill which has 2 bolts and a screw on top. but what else?

Many thanks

Rogue

: Forgot to mention this is a vectra b

by covers you mean the part you want to polish?

if so they don't remove easily. you can remove the whole headlight if you wish. (might require removal of front bar as there is also a bolt behind it for the lights.

best of just doing it on the car. just get some blue tape to cover the panels around the lights.

If it's a TS Astra the healight lenses/assembly is a sealed unit, so personally I wouldn't go trying to rip it apart...

If it's a Calibra, then yes it has separate glass lenses which can be removed...

Can't comment for Vecces or AH Astras...
