Has anyone modified the rear number plate holes? My holes are in the middle of the plate (which I don't want) and are off level anyway. I want to be able to use normal number plate holes to screw in, especially if i get custom plates. Had same issue on my calibra and i ended up using self tapping screws. Is there a better way of doing this?

just go to supercheap or similar. get a number plate frame. drill holes in that to suit car and mount numberplate in frame.

None of the number plate frames I have checked out there or any other auto store have a back, they just clip over the number plate
so it looks like a fabrication job or drill holes into the body and paint to stop rust and silicone to prevent leak

When the wife got custom plates for the Vectra I just pop-riveted the new plates on top of the old ones. No holes in the middle of her custom plates!

That would be good, but in Qld we have to hand back the standard plates when fitting personalised plates
