Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a telephoto lens for my D90, I am tossing up between the Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 and the 70-200mm f/2.8. You can pick up the 80-200mm f/2.8 for relatively cheap these days however I have only used the old 'push-pull' zoom one and the auto-focus is unbelievably slow. I'm also still finding it hard to spend ~$3,000 for the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8, how does it compare to the Sigma has anyone got either?

Cheers

PS: I'd be using it for Wakeboarding and waterskiing so a quick autofocus would be preferable but not entirely necessary as the skiier is the same distance from the boat at all times.

Damn where are these prices coming from!? Are they grey imports? Include warranty?

for that price, they are all grey imports.

my friend bought his D300+18-200+35/1.8 all from d-d-photographics.com.au, no drama at all. they have dealer warranty.

I will buy from there in the future when the money is ready,haha...

Try Tamron too. I recently got a 10-24 wide angle and it's great. another site to look up is http://www.bhphotovideo.com/
