This is pretty friggin cool.

love the idea, love the concept!

now for it to filter down to a consumer level.

a couple of my thoughts for them
- car cover to charge electric cars
- tents at tracks/trade show to power laptops and bits
- shade sails on outdoor areas in homes/schools/work places

Way of the future!

It will be awesome when the bureaucrats stop interfering & back the technology designers for better, more efficient technology.

As it stands now, i think the most efficient panel is only around the 20-30% mark...

one of my customers recently became the distributor/franchise kind of thing for the solar shade sails for the east coast (or atleast the solar membrane which can be incorporated onto those kinds of surfaces) going more after commercial large scale areas, so it will be coming to a westfield near you.

love the concept too pete.

ive been thinking (not for my use) bout how cool it would be to 2 tone a car, white lower, solar cell covering for the bonnet roof and boot, cos the solar cells have a pretty cool pattern, plus can charge your battery or even a Kers style boost...

or you could just go camping in a 5 star hotel and not have to worry about solar powered tents there there are power sockets everywhere
