I know there was a thread not too long ago about LCD vs. LED LCD vs. Plasma (actually I just finished reading it LOL)...

I gotta say I was originally keen on the LED LCDs but I've heard some mighty good things about the VIERA 50" 3D from Pana, which JB are selling for less than $2500.

There's also a bonus going on atm, you get 2 extra pairs of eyewear, a home theatre and exclusive Avatar Blu-Ray in 3D - sounds like an awesome deal actually!

So to round up this thread, I ended up getting the 54" 3D Viera Neo for $2518 from my good friend Gerry Harvey.

If my director ever orders it, a Cisco 52" Full HD LCD and another 40" for good measure (we can only do one Cisco order per quarter), but that's because we're priveledged. They have a Samsung panel, but no TV tuner.

If you know anyone who's a Cisco partner that gets "NFR pricing" talk to them. For the $700-800 you'll spend on each screen (retail is around 3-4K), that's a good $1800 left to buy a tuner and a cheapish HDMI selector box (only 1 HDMI input on the TV too),. Most home theatre systems have multiple HDMI inputs anyway

BUT.. They are NOT 3D. You can however take the plastic surrounds off, mount them seemlessly and use the Cisco Media Manager to connect as many as you want into a MEGA screen! lol

I have the samsung 46" 3D led series 8 tv. You only get the margin when you wear the 3D glass for longer than 30 min to watch 3D stuff

Other than that its pretty good tv.
