Suggest me a respray colour

OK as some of you know im about to purchase a 1970s Celica RA28 if all goes to plan... Now ive been humming and harring about what colour would suit the car and look nice (obviously plain black works a treat, but im thinking a colour)

So your mission people is to pick a colour from an existing Car and post a pic of the colour up.

NOTE i dont mean for people to do photoshops of the paint on to the celica i just mean post up a car with that paint and the make+model its from. (unless you want to ps it :p by all means)

personally the orange looks good but the blue is just stunning!! id go with the blue or maybe a slight darker shade of blue

A guy I used to work with ages ago had one of these and he actually resprayed it too...

It was a charcoal grey colour and looked very good on that car...contrasted well with all the chrome bits too :)

I think a period colour would be good that has been tweaked slightly for the 21st C

The Orange and Blue both look stunning.

Wasn't there also a darkish non-metallic red back then as well?

Couple of panels on the car are lime green and scary enough I like the colour :p so thinking maybe focus st/falcon xr light green

Great thing about this cars shape is can get away with these colours most of the time

Toyota 1uz best engine for the job sadly budget didn't expand that far so had to settle for a 1jzgte twin turbo :p

And I have the 289 sitting at home so that why I would do it

I thought that too but I think more or a solid colour than metalic for the orange looks better hmmm

Still undecided about selling it.. Do love the astra but could buy a corsa Sri for $7k and have $10k towards the project roughly... Which would pay for a kick arse paint job :p
