Hello.

I was told you might be able to help me out with a pair of brake pads for the front of my AH astra turbo and possibly the rotors as well?

I am not after anything special perse but they have to be at least as good as the stock ones (imo the brakes on this car are very good)

But since its out of warranty I might as well get something else.

Cheers

Hi there,

If you're just after std replacement items (nothing extra performance wise) I would recommend QFM HPX pads ($79 for the set) and RDA std rotors ($95 each).

But since its out of warranty I might as well get something else.
Manufactures (or dealers) aren't allowed to void warranties for the fitment of aftermarket brake parts. If they ever do take their arse down to the ACCC and sue them for your inconvenience and time.

Greg

Gidday Greg

i have an Astra H Turbo needing to replace rotors and pads
car gets used for probably 3 track days a year plus the odd spirited drive but is also a daily driver

what rotor would you recommend, RDA slotted or DBA Street or 4000 series ?
and which brake pads would suit

my rear rotors are fine so wont replace them however would replace whole set of pads

ive tried conacting sources in New Zealand and to be honest they are not familar with the car so cannot recommend
best options so are guessing which is not really my cup of tea

the new zealand RDA distrubutor advised me RDA rotors are not stocked for this vehicle and another brake specialist
telling me to get the DBA 4000 sets as they were DBA agents

your thoughts would be awesome (and hey if you could ship to New Zeland give me a yell)

Cheers

Hi Kev,

I would go QFM A1RM pads (Ferodo DS2500 equivalent) all round and RDA Slotted rotors for the front. The 4000's are good, but really their only advantage of RDA is the thermal marking paint, in terms of price, the RDA are hard to go past, but I'll quote on both. Prices as follows:

Front A1RM Pads $119
Rear A1RM Pads $119
Front RDA Slotted $265 for the pair
Front DBA 4000 Series Slotted $195 PER ROTOR

Shipping NZ on a pair of front rotors and front and rear pads $189 - It's a killer cause the only option is Air Freight.
OR
Shipping on just front and rear pads $55

Any other questions just let me know!

Greg

Yeah would be double the freight unfortunately. Maximum weight is 20kg so to do two pairs of front rotors would be 2 x 20kg freight as apposed to 40kg freight if that makes sense.

Hi Greg,

Might need you to help me out also. Need to replace the front pads and rotors as they are almost at end of life and the horrible look of the wheels covered in brake dust everyday.

Looks like I just missed your July free shipping :(

Can you quote me for the front pads, rotors and shipping to Melbourne.

Its just a daily driver but does a lot of k's and probably a little heavier on the brakes than some :)

Cheers
Scott

Hi Scott,

Apologies about the late reply!

Remsa pads to suit are $89 for the set. DBA rotors are $142 each for standard, or $147 each for slotted.

Shipping to Melbourne on pads and rotors would be $15.

Any other questions just let me know!

Thanks Greg,

Are you able to send me an invoice or something so I can pay? Do you know how long shipping takes to melbourne ?

Do you recommend the slotted over standard or are they practically the same .

Whichever you recommend I'm happy with.

Cheers

Hi mate,

Apologies about the late reply!

Easiest way to order is credit card over the phone, 1300 884 836, or else PM me your details, full name, delivery address (preferably a work or business address!!), contact number and email and I can fire you through an invoice with direct deposit details.

For the $5 I'd just go slotted!

Shipping to Melb would be approx 2-3 days.

Regards,
Greg
