Hi guys,
I will collect the 5 Door Bodykit from tezarity here on this Saturday. I am not that lucky to get the right color, so I have to do some paint preparation on the pre-painted bodykit by myself before sending the bodykit to spray painter.

What preparation do I do?
In my mind, sandpaper will do(I do not want to use chemical paint stripper)
1, What grade of sand paper do I start to use to sand off paint(400?)?
2, Do I sand it to plastic and then prime the bodykit OR Do I just sand to the prime and then smooth the existing prime(which will save me several cans of prime)? The later one seems fine to me, am I right?

What's your suggestion?Thanks!

wet sand it with 800-1000 graded sandpaper.

You just need to lightly do it. Do not go down to plastic otherwise they will need to out primer on it.

Just remember though the key to a good paint job is in the preparation. So take your time and make sure its all smooth.
