PaulyJ was kind enough to loan me his Camzilla car mount, and I've been seeing what it can do. These two shots are a bit cliché, but I still like the way they came out

This one was taken a couple of nights ago. The street wasn't particularly smooth, hence the waves in the light streaks. It's not the best photo, but I was stoked when I saw the result. There are a few things I'd change if I were to make it a keeper shot, such as shooting on a smoother road, more constant speed, and removing the 'For Sale' paper in the window :P

This one was taken this evening, and i've put a bit more effort into it. It needed a bit of PS work to kick up the exposure, reduce the noise, straighten the horizon, and crop. I'm really happy with the way this one came out.

top work dude, pretty good for a first effort

one thing, not about the shots, about the lens.

get rid of it if you are going to more work. for those sort of shots grab yourself a 50mm, they are only about $140 and are a great little lens

Yeah I know, I'm in the process of selling my 24-70mm f/2.8 L to PaulyJ. I was tossing up whether to replace it with the 17-40mm f/4 L or a ultra wide zoom, so he loaned me the 18-55 so I can get a feel for the focal range. At the moment, I'm thinking I'll end up with something like the Tokina 12-24mm f/4.

Great first attempt on these mate.
Trust me, it took a while to learn what setting etc you need to use.
With the second one, dodge/burn it a little in PS to bring the wheel out a bit more, and lighten it up some more too.

Cheers, I'll give it a shot now

Looks like I wasn't being subtle enough
I've had it for about 18 months, and it's been a great little car, but I'm looking to upgrade to something a bit sportier. I have a thread in the For Sale section (http://www.opelaus.com/forums/showthread.php?28437-FS-2001-TS-Astra-City-Manual-(Vic)-6500) if anyone's interested...
