View Full Version : New Focus ST/XR5 - Paris Motor Show

Here are the photos I took of the next Focus ST in Paris.

Unfortunately it wasn't spinning around, so couldn't get a shot of the rear

After sitting in the new 'One Ford' Focus, and seeing the ST on display, it honestly didn't do too much for me

The handbrake will now be like the VE Commodore - how it raises and looks out of place when its up

The rear end on the basic hatch looks very mis-matched (IMHO - of course)

If it ever gets here only Rich idiots will buy it, much like the New Focus RS. How can people be calling the RS a collectors item when they're still producing new variants.

I'd say the interior is an improvement over the current model (although that's not too hard)

Trip's over... im back now ;-)

There's "only" 315 going to be sold in Australia. That might have been reasonable when the RS was first released, but with the new model already on display in Paris, and a list price of $59,990 + ORC, how much will the appreciate for a collector?? For any car I've bought, I've never bought the first or last in a model run - the current RS is in that category.

Is the Paris ST the actual production version or the Motor Show version? I saw the Suzuki Kizashi at the Sydney Motor Show a few years ago and it looked really mean; typically, the aggressive looks have been toned down to meet the masses.

the body colour ought to extend to break that grill into three sections. If it were to follow the lines along the bonnet and the faceted grill bit into the diffuser it could look nice

Just based on those pics, can't say I like it overall but some individual bits/parts are quite nice...

Need more pics Miz :)

Also always a case of real life might make a totally different impression...

Yeh exactly it as a whole from those images it's nasty.. But bits are good the bottom diffuser is cool and the grille being on an angle sloped down and back is cool (reminds me of fiat for some reason?)

I'm not sure what they were doing when it came to the front and rear styling. Overall coupe lines look good, but they've missed the mark with arguably the most important parts, the front and rear of the car.

Oh dear... That's hideous, and in such a horrible colour too.
Is that the production model? Or just a concept.

Concept, but it'll be very close to the production version so there won't be too many changes.

overall shape is nice but as matsholden said. the front and the rear are a let down. but as a few have said the car might look better in the flesh. lets just hope so

I really like the rear, with exception to how far the lights extend forward on the body. The tinting could look nice with some colours but undoubtedly will disappear on production models.

The best bit about it I think is how fresh the rear looks at that angle, it dosent look like a remodelled ___________.

Looks like a remodelled lancer sportback or Holden viva hahaha but still it's good
