Fantastic last 30 or so laps, so happy the 'dream team' of Lowndes/Skaife took home the trophy, happy with second too, but bitterly disappointed for Will Davison, really has had a shocking year and to crash in 3rd position 10 laps to the end just proves the guy has the worst luck!!

Was good to see former stars like Jason Bright and the GRM boys Besnard and Holdsworth getting up there and matching it with the big boys!!

+1 on all the above, would have also liked to have seen David Reynolds finish on the podium with Davidson.

A little disapointed with Channel 7 Coverage. They were about 15 mins behind by the end of the race . And the Adverts were to regular and to many in each break

Reynolds did very very well today too, considering where the car qualified, he did well to get the car up towards the top of the field!!

Well done to Triple 8. But it was good to see BJR & GRM taking it to the international teams of T8 & HRT. Dave Besnard is a great talent. But there are plenty out there that still have it - Craig Baird, Steve Owen, etc, etc.

Not the best way for Glenn Seton to finish his Bathurst career.

It was fairly boring. I guess the telecast being behind live meant we didn't miss anything, but there wasn't much to miss. I was using a PVR, so I had the advantage of skipping the ads, and also recording F1 qualy and race. Go Webber for the championship.

Man I feel for Will Davidson going so well all day and then wacking the wall up in McPhilarmy near the end. Also Fabian Couthard in that EPIC rollover into the Chase at 290 clicks. I have never see a car disintergrate like that ever since I have be born watching Bathurst and he just walks out from it. Goes to show how tuff these V8 Supercars are.

Yeah I feel for Davison as well. He drove so well too up to that point. Anyway I'm so happy for Skaifey as he got shafted last year by the last safety car so it's only fair his luck turned around this year!

Glad Skaifey got another win under his belt. Both the 500 at the Island and the Bathurst crown, not a bad effort! Was shattered for Will Davo, was a big hit too. Also Coulthard's big one on the first lap was unbelievable and so unlucky, getting tapped in the rear off the start and bending the valve on the tyre... just unlucky. And the 2nd Bundy Racing car getting hit by Coulthard's door which peeled off just summed up that team's day. I'm not sure how it could be classified as a boring race, when you have the top 3 cars finishing just over 1 second apart after 1000km... There were plenty of extremely exciting battles during the day as fuel loads, tyre conditions etc changed.
Oh and I hope HRT bring out the original livery for every Bathurst! They looked amazing.

Exactly, and also the fastest Bathurst race result ever.

There were hardly any mechanical retirements, which was more amazing given the low number of laps completed under the safety car. V8SC have been pushing for cost containment for a fair few years now. When you look back at all the big teams that had failures in the past, the 'stock' components that are used across the teams look to have resulted in more reliable cars. On one hand, it's good to see the best engineered car being the fastest, but also the most fragile; on the other, it was frustrating to see the fast car lead or be thereabouts all day and then grind to a halt with a couple of laps to go. The days of winning by 6 laps are over, which isn't a bad thing for the fans.

And have been over for quite a number of years now! Definately a good thing.

I'm amazed that Bathurst finishes with about half a second between 1st and 2nd positions after 1000km of racing. It's great to see tight racing for 6 hours :D
