Hopefully it doesn't shut down plans for Opel to come to Aus.

Non of the current Opel line up is made in Belgium anymore anyway think you will find.. Belgium was the astra h days. Think the astra j is now Croatia or some eastern euro country

the current sports hatches incl OPC/VXR were built in the belgium factory

the 'new' astra 5 door is currently being built in Briton at Ellesmere Port.......

Where will the new OPC/VXR hatches be made? Hopefully not UK, Poland OR Russia...

lets hope they find a another "cheaper" country, so they dont become to expensive when they come to aus.

the factory is currently on a "forced one week holiday" due to slowing demand of OPEL cars in western EU, however GM OPEL had recently started the proceedings of investing of $120 milion Euros in the Gliwice plant to modernise and expand its production lines...
