Love the front and profile looks pretty good, but the arse is plain-jane. Reventon carbon spokes?

I'm personally very into it as I expressed in the other thread

When the J came out the 5 door was a bit "meh" but the 2 door profile changes things dramatically. Same deal with the H. We bought a 5 door when it first came out and that was well handsome at the time... then the coupe came out and i was sold

Nice! There's some rumors about the OPC version, a 280 HP 2.0 turbocharged beastie :)

Or more :)

The layout is a hint to the powertrain of the next Astra VXR – the unit is likely to deliver in excess of 300bhp as Vauxhall chases arch-rival Ford’s Focus RS.

+ 1

That is so NICE !!!!!!

Every 3 door variant of AJ so far is a damn good looking piece of machinery in my eyes and I'm sure the finished products will be of a high quality...

True, but speak to the guys who have driven the Focus RS. The grip is apparently awesome, and with an electronic LSD fitted to this it should be similar in grip levels.

I'd tap that...

Small things bugging me about it but could certainly live with it.

Ha, I'd love to see how many RWD and AWD would keep up with my FWD Clio on a wet and twisty road :) There's so much more to it than what wheels push the car forwards, such as chassis balance and suspension tune. Focus RS is also a great example of a FWD car with massive grip. Hope Opel will get it right, others have proven it can be done...

Bring it on!
Love the look of that - needs to get some control of the power to tarmac transmission so that these Astras can get one over the Focus again!
Would like to see some more aggressive styling options, maybe a hint of oldskool GSI bonnet vent...
Sadly do not think these will make it as far as Australia!

Come on Holden - start making these in Australia - drop the Cruze and get a decent vehicle in the medium sized car line up...
and if the VXR option is about - this needs to get signed up by HSV - and yes i just want one already!
