Hey guys ive been trying to do a bit of research on 120mm pc case fans. Just wondering if you other techies out there can point me in the direction on a really quite fan.....preferably noiseless.....(yes they do exist) most are showing up as 20db which is to high and still quite noisy. cheers in advance :)

have to buy the expensive ones, ball bearing not brush.
also get ones with a sensor, so the speed varies with temp rises and falls.
dont by the cheap $10 led ones
my case has 5 of them and a 200mm fan, sounds like a jumbo taking off

looks the goods, i'd be worried about those speeds though, the ones i have spin up to 1200-1500rpm (could explain the noise)
this is when the machine is under full load though, under idle they sit at about 500rpm or so

So you saying that the speeds under load are to little ? I dont think ill ever need full load....ill be getting a couple aswell to balance the load.

set up right you should be right.
the case is going to be the most important bit.
if you can get a good flowing case, and have one fan sucking cold air in, and the other blowing hot air out
it shouldnt put as much load on them, and still keeping good temps

yep thats what im trying to get going atm.....got a good cooling case in the Cooler master 2 or something long those lines, got about 10 points where I could mount a fan, haha

my case has 3 120mms and one 200mm on top. when everything is on high its fairly loud but when the settings are on low the psu fan is louder than all of my case fans

My case is full of these - But I also have a fan controller that lets me step them down to completely silent.
Its a trade off , Silent fans move less air than a noisy one.
You system - Is it overclocked? - Are there multiple high end gfx cards in there?
Standard cooling on the cpu?

I have been running a 120mm Nexus Real Silent case fan at 600RPM for 4 years, $10 at quitepc.com, i can't tell a difference in noise if i stop the fan. It's the only have in my case (excep the PSU). CPU is 40-65 degrees, GPU is 35-65 degrees.
