I just upgraded the firmware on my G-Tech Competition to version 4, and loaded the new analysis software.

DAMM..!!!!!

They have added a new feature called Road Racer Mode. In this mode, you can store up to 3 hours of data. It logs RPM along with lateral and longitudinal G forces. It gives you the ability to track how the car is handling and accelerating.

You can even track (via the playback sound) your gear changes.!! You are able to tell whether you are turning left or right, accelerating or braking, and also engine speed.

Cool little tool....!!

How much did the G-tech cost you if you don't mind me asking?

wow thats awesome, a lot more nifty than our original G-Tech! Where did you get yours from? I've seen them for fairly good prices from the US?

I think it was about $450 from eBay.

$450!

I'm looking at the $39.95 USD G-Tech Pro's on ebay :P ~$55 AUD

The new ones do look VERY nice however. Pretty darn good versitile data logger.

I had a Pro version. It was a great tool as well.

I now have the original Competition model. It is just great. Luckily this one can be updated to the new firmware.

They have 2 models now. Both look like the Competition model, however one can dump to pc, the other can't.
