the main reason is its the daughters car needs to be reliable it has done 152.000ks so airing on the side of caution

g day matey its an ecotec 2.0 lt priced timing kits $300 inclucing water pump not sure if its bosch dayco gates or other but that sounds acceptable geting new tyres today and making up a new rear muffler fitting new flange gasket $3 will do a wheel alignment as well few other little problems will talk about later

yeah my exhaust and cat were rooted after 11 years and 115K kms so maybe have a look at the cat too, see if its in good nick.

300 sounds about right for timing belt kit if it includes the pulleys.
where did you get it through?
my last waterpump was a shitty Protex one, only lasted about 30K kms, which is pretty shit if you ask me...

does the car have factory alloys atm?

im not up to speed on these little beasties yet one of the kits is all included waterpump as well from what i can gather i think its just the base model 5 stud steels and argh plastic hub caps got on to a set of 16" black centred polished lip alloys $440 new or bling chrome 17" with tyres $500 it all depends on what the daughter likes hell they can be picky put new tyres on today and did muffler straight through xr6 chrome tip now its not as quiet cant win just as well i didnt put a mates canon on i might just try and find a very cheap set of factory alloys and mirror polish them we shall see the biggest issue was vehicles road worthy condition since been rectified
