Suprisinlgy, they're 17's :P

I've had a lot of people think that they're smaller, but after a while, and on closer inspection, you will see that they are indeed 17's. The smaller "look" is owed to the spokes overlapping onto the "īnner rim".

The wheels are AME Prider's. :D Couldn't be happier, considering they have gold faux "studs"that when clean, look absolutely amazing amongst the chrome! I love the dish too!

Mind you, the wheels were put on a week after I got the car. Springs have slowly settled in and compressed, and the cars sitting at a nice ride height. I've seen city's going around much lower than my car - considering I've only done 1000k's, it's only going to get a little lower. I'm not expecting any "sporty" look, but DAMN, I love the go anywhere aspect of such a versatile height!

I guess the next mod is going to be debadging.

Very nice.. the springs will set... don't be too worried about the height just yet.

Oh, and remember to come to the meet on Feb 20th at night. :)

Will be there!

By then, I may have a rear silencer put on. Looking at some supersprint items. (Heard that at idle, they're silent, but on take off, they're raspy).

looking goog there autumn. now tell me, is it the "trend" to have the p's sandwiched in the plates or is it an easy access weapon when u get out of the car and use it as a ninja star?

Nice wheels man! :D

Go the cheap mod of Debadging...i just got rid of the last 4 badges on mine 2x City & 2x Olympic Edition blah blah badges. Not only does it look that bit sweeter but washing and waxing the bastard is nicer to, no more mit fur caught on the edge of the badging!!

Looks good Don!

Debadging is the go also, I'm going to debadge mine shortly and replace the centre Holden logo with an Opel one (coming soon) so I don't have to nasty empty holes in the middle of the tailgate

SHIT

A woman failed to see me, and, while I was turning left into a street, she came through and swiped my front guard, thus denting it, scratching the paint, and displacing it a bit, causing the front bumper to sit irregularly.

Hopefully, everything will be fixed by the 20th.

For now tough, I have to sort things out in regards to insurance - she was in the wrong, as she was at a stop sign and I had the righ of way.

Frankie, it's not a ninja star, nor is it a p-plate. It's actually a special sticker from japan that gives me heaps underworld style points and 100 kilowatts.

Everything's getting fixed guys and should turn out okay. As expected, I was NOT in the wrong, and thus, my NCB (however insignificant it is ATM) won't be scrapped.

Anyone know what kind of rear silencer I can get, considering the following criteria;

1.Raspy, high pitched sound (think M3 being pushed)
2.NOT A CANON.
3.No drone at idle.

M3 sounds like shit, I'm sorry to say but its a terrible sound. Anything piping with thin walls will get you that sound.

astra_city
12th February 2004, 06:41 PM
yeah you guys over east have heaps of restrictions on P platers.
Here in WA we have no restrictions apart from 0.02 limit...and a 110km/h limit, but that's the speed limit anyway  And the cops maybe pick on you a bit more.

But on the upside people who would never normally drag you drag you, which is always good :D

I have a 1.4L 8v corsa... how hard would that be?

It would be not so hard from a 1.4l engine upgrade to the Let,
the only thing that is more to change is the brake (284x24mm).
Or take the Gierling/Lukas brake from the opel omega 3l 24V, Jg. 1991 up..(Holden Commodore) the the calipers and buy some discs from 298x28mm disc 4- or 5 holes circle (http://www.eds-motorsport.de/gb/produkte/bremsen_298x28_4lo.htm)

How to prepare the Caliper from the omega 3l 24V

and what about the poor calibra that the C20LET came out of eh...
yeah no one thinks of that :P

probably some clown who smashed it and then had to donate its organs...

My fav pic is of a C20LET cally engine in a mini... looks like there is absolutely no room to work under the hood...
