Hi All,

I got my Barina SRi recently and with summer approaching I'd like to get the windows tinted for obvious reasons.

What sort of $$ should I be expecting to spend for fully metalised film with a lifetime guarantee?

Can anyone recommend a reputable installer in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I had Tint-a-car do the Vectra when I first got it 4 years ago. Their top of the line tint back then (and I think still is) was the Formula 1 - which is what I got. Paid about $300 for it, 25 year guarantee, and when 3 of the windows got minor imperfections on them about 6 months later, they re-did it no questions asked.

Fully metallic film, 99.9% UV cut out and I think 60% glare reduction. I've been very happy with it.

I got the same as Vectracious (Formula one from Tint-a-car). I think I paid a little under $300. Different types have different colours, so you may want to ask them what the end colour will be.

I paid $290 for Sun-Gard Slate 35 from Car Toys at Hindmarsh. Got the same on both the Astra and Barina for the same dollars (each). Very happy with both jobs. No mess, no scratches, no ugly cut/join marks, no lifting on the rear window heater strips. Very professional job (unlike the last effort from the national crowd just down the road)!
Everything put back where it belongs and all cleaned up afterwards. Can thoroughly recommend them.

You can get Tint-a-car Formula 1 Plus at darkest legal done over at Camberwell for $220 by mentioning that you're a MCCR member.
