If there was ever a fine line between a street car and a full-on race car then now is the time to question it. In the latest battle to get the best Nurburgring lap time, the Pagani Zonda R beats the Ferrari 599XX’s record lap time of 6:58 and posts a time of 6:47. Both the Ferrari 599XX and Pagani Zonda R are dedicated track vehicles but still classified as production cars. The Zonda R is now the fastest production-based vehicle around the infamous Nurburgring.

big difference between the zonda r and zonda f...

would still be happy with just a C6 Corvette round Nurburgring =)

I remember seeing the Zonda's in HK at the Top Gear show. Mr. Pagani was even there. All I can say is that car pron up close.

Engineering that wouldn't look out of place on an F1 car!!!

Not surprised it's so damn quick!!!

Awesome run !!!!

I too would prefer a Zonda over just about anything, but as far as Fezzas go, I'd kill for one of those new 458 Italias, gotta be the sexiest looking car ever made IMO...that or a R8 V10 :)

That's always a good option given such a chance...

But if you got it for nothing and you already have all those other things, (as some people do) don't know about you but I'd keep it !!! it's something totally unique that you could otherwise never have :)
