A bit of a go on resale Value of our Cars and KMs on them.

How KM is on your Car ? How many is "TOO" many ?

My SRi - T has about 11,000KMs on it - am deffinatly selling before it gets around 65,000 - 70,000.

Also what do you rekon resale we will be able to get on a '04 SRi - T in a 2 years. ? I do relize if ti has some nice mods it will be worth more. Lets say for a Stockie with immaculate paint and interior.

more mods isnt always best, but it should be right considering people buy the SRi-T for its race look and performance

for km's, my 04CD hatch has only from 4000 for the 3 months i have had it, but i hear SRi's dont really loose value, am i correct?

The SRI 2.2 and The SRI-T should hold value pretty well owing to the fact that you really can't find that many of them around - the SRI-T moreso cos there were a limited number brought into the country and (correct me if i'm wrong ) i don't think they are brining in any more.

MY 03 SRI 2.2 has just over 5000 k's

I've got just over 60,000kms in 3 years next month. I don't think there is ever too many, I mean, you buy a car to drive so you shouldn't really be fussed about driving it too much. That's just what i think anyways.

i really want a second hand astra as new are abit to expensive for my budget. the problem is that new astra classic is about 20 - 21K driveaway NEW, and a second hand Astra, with about 50 - 70 thousand kms on it is still like 15 to 20 grand!? dammit its not fair! The used car market hasnt yet realised that the price cutting for the new (now old model) astras should mean reduced used car prices, so i can have one!

they might be an old model but they still are better than the astra classic my friend, unless its a city, gotta look at the model cuase it makes all the difference

I did about 70km a day in the week and a lot more on the week end. but it still was as good as a new one. it had 105kw at the front wheels

Bought new nov 03 -- 29813 right now.

Plus.. the work corsa (03 model but bought four months ago) has a further 11,000 I put on it.

Highway k's tend to not age a car as even much as much fewer city k's will. -- but my resale (I expect) will be bugger all as either car will see more than 200,000 while still less than 5 years old -- (the Volvo did about 30,000 in the same 11mths period but is now not being used much)

My '01 Astra which I have had for almost three years has 83,500km on it. Most of that has been freeway driving, which is why I am looking to see somewhere around 300-350,000km out of it all up.

I've stopped worrying about resale - for one thing, I expect to keep the car for quite a while. For another, I bought a new car so I could drive it, not to look at it, so I don't worry about the km anymore and I don't worry about it's value on the used market in 10 years from now.
