Where can I buy a single one?

I was planning on changing my engine oil over the weekend.

I have the full set of bits, except the god damn T40!

As I don't want to spend $20 on another set, where can I get one single T40 bit?

Never seen them as singles unfortunately. I had to buy a whole new set to get that one :(

your local independent auto store will probably have them too, the one near me had a t50 bit for sale on its own

repco sell 'repco brand' torx bits as singles too mate. they aren't cheap though - don't be surprised if the single costs as much as your entire set!

haha,

Thanks.. but i'll get my own.

I prefer just one single one, that way I won't have 2 sets of 20-30 piece bits I don't use, other than the T40.

I should replace the OEM Torx sump plug with a standard sump plug, other than the fact I have just purchased a new OEM Torx sump plug and was going to change it over with this overchange.

Murphy guarantees me this, as soon as I purchase it, I will find the one I 'lost'.

Too true...

If you wanted to be risky you could use an allen key but I don't recommend it...

Correction, I lost the T45, which is the correct one for the sump plug.

neither do i - don't do it! the sump plug is soft as cheese and even using a cheap torx bit blurs the torx pattern on it (speaking from personal experience :mad2:). try to use a hex key and i guarantee you'll round the pattern right off first go, and you'll have to drill it out!
