Whilst i've never used it as W.A has very few E10 pumps. I noticed when I was over east it was available quite readily.

Take the following with a pinch of salt though, I imagine theres plenty of other "Studies" to back E10 up.

Your thoughts?

I only ever get around 480-500 km out of a tank of E10 and the performance isnt great
Ive been running 98 vortex and get up to 620 km out of a tank and the car pulls better and runs quieter

we got B20 diesel here in Brisbane. Its a 20% biodiesel which they charge the same price as normal diesel for. In our truck we on average get 60km per tank less on the b20.

The only places in SA that stock E10 are places like Liberty, and generally I prefer 'brand name' petrol in my car, so I haven't even considered running E10. Plus, I've heard of there being problems running it in particular engines?

have run E10 a few times now in the CR-V - we always get about 50km less to a tank on it than normal 91.

E10 is everywhere in NSW.

Its just not practical sure it costs less than my new fuel of choice 98 but the kilometre range isnt there, nether is the power. I almost changed cars because I couldnt stand the lack of power in 5th on the highway, dropping to 4th rev's the $hit out of the car at highway speeds. Now Ive ran 98 for a few tank fulls the uptake in 5th is completely different.

Never do I run e10 now

Interesting thoughts guys.

I know plenty of websites that state holdens post 1986 are compatible with E10 fuel. And as above, is E10 perhaps ruining engines at all?

I'm certainly not against E10 as i've never used it, Just wonder as most Opels ask for a minimum of 95RON or above to run half decent.

They are actually phasing out regular unleaded ULP here in NSW (91 RON)
It is because the incompetant state government has failed to meed their renewable energy & emissions targets.. PITA!

I personally only use 98 RON so its no skin off my back really, but some older cars have issues running on E10 and so are forced to use 95 RON PULP. (more $$)
