Spotted a white Audi "R8" in South Sydney yesterday and thought something looked a bit odd... On closer inspection, it was an Audi TT (current shape) with an R8 kit on it. Didnt have a chance to take a pic of it, but i found this on the net:

it looks quite squashed in the flesh and reminded me of the old Mazda 121 aka Jellybean car...

ide drive it ...ok ok ide enjoy driving it but would much prefer the Original R8.

That is a common sight in Europe on TT's and as the Poms say it looks Chav.

Personally I wouldn't do that, using bits and pieces might be ok but not an overall make over like that...if you want a car that looks like an R8, buy an R8, if you can't afford one, don't mimmick like that you only end up looking like a wannabe and you totally devalue the car ! so what's the point ??

The TT is already a unique and great looking car as is :)

that reminds me, i must stick that "MPS" badge onto the back of my mazda

i've seen one going around my area...

it DOES look cool but at the same time... a bit embarrasing. Literally yells "I COULDNT AFFORD THE R8 SO I OPTED FOR THE TT BUT NOW I CAN GET A KIT SO I CAN SORT OF LIVE MY DREAM BUT NOT REALLY"

Reminds me of the Evo 5 and 6 kits that used to be all the rage on bread and butter CE Lancers.

Having said that, the fake R8 kit on the TT does appear to be fairly well integrated, and can indeed fool some car illiterate people, if only at a quick glance...

Regardless, it just goes to show that money does not buy taste. Euro rice anyone? :spew:

I actually dont mind it. :p Without the R8 badge and side blades though.............
