due to some circumstances, my lovely wheels have been scratched =(

gonna get them repaired eventually, but am thinking at the same time to change the colour of the wheels...

looking at either a graphite grey or black if someone could photoshop those colours, or if anyone has suggestions on other colours, go nuts!!!

+1 go white

black = crap

graphite/gunmetal looks the good when done properly but

my suggestion is gunmetal back with a silver face :)

nah too bright for me, want something a bit modern classy, white wheels were cool in the early 2000s

see im opposite i think black looks poxy :p makes it look like youve got stock rims on it.. and when ur walking up to ur car from a distance or at night all u see is black and that looks shit to me :p i like to have wheels that stand out and can be seen personally spent money on them why hide them by blending them into the same colour as the car?

in situations like petes cali where it is orange and he has black wheels it works cause its not black on black it makes them stand out :p

There's more to a car than wheels that stand out like dog's balls. Personally, if your car gets the comment "nice wheels", I'd consider that a negative statement. I'd prefer "HOT CAR!"

For the ultimate in toughness, BLACK ON BLACK for the win!!!

yeah for me, white wheels are suited to lighter coloured cars but white wheels on black is too much of a contrast.... but thats only my tastes and everyone is different!!

Barbados Green! :)

awesome suggestion Rory, gonna buy a can right now, but you dont mind if i try the colour on your car first........ =P

+1 black... ive been tempted to go gloss black and leave the outer rim polished as well as the plastic chrome centre cap, but then I have the other plastic cap and the hex nuts in the wheels which will mean the job would be a pain in my assholes

Black wheels on a black car looks tough. You would have to change your brake pads to aftermarket jobbies if you went white, the brake dust just kills you!

haha already have QFMs, but yeah your car is a good example of a light coloured car with white wheels, looks good but wouldnt work on a black car!!!

Just some ideas I have looked at and gone with.

My VE SS has now got VE GTS wheels on it and they have been painted black. Couple that with a black car and it's subtle but still good. To set it off I painted the calipers orange.

The other route was something one of the guys in Melbourne did. When I got the car I had the 20" Supersports on it (the 5 spoke GMH rims). I was going to get them done in a dark shadow chrome. I reckon the original Veccy 17's in shadow chrome would look great or the Astra SRi wheels in shadow chrome.

I think the dark graphite would look great on the Vectra wheels. If anybody in Brisbane/SE Qld needs wheels painted send me a PM. A mate is a panel beater and painted my GTS wheels (engine covers etc)
