Hey Guys,

Just want to confirm some wheel calculations I've made.

----Original Wheels-------
Rim Size: 6.5x16
Tyres: 205/55/16
Wheel Size: 406.4mm
Sidewall Height: 223.52mm

Total Wheel Size: 629.92mm

----New Wheels------------
Rim Size: 19x8
Tyres: 225/35/19
Wheel Size: 482.6mm
Sidewall Height: 168.91mm

Total Wheel Size: 651.51mm

Difference of 21.59mm.
Legal difference is 15mm (Victoria)

--------------------------

Therefore to be legal, I would need:

Rim Size: 19x8
Tyres: 225/30/19
Wheel Size: 482.6mm
Sidewall Height: 144.78

Total Wheel Size: 627.38

Difference of 2.54mm. LEGAL!

Please don't tell me to not worry about it because I want to be 100% Legal for many various reasons. Are my calculations right and are those size tyres an option?

Cheers.

Tire size calculator (http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html)

Awesome. Thanks Guys.

That calculator is only noticing a 8.2mm difference, which is all gooood! And my speedo will be correct then because the stock astra speedo shows 100km when im actually going only about 97km so it'll fix it up a bit and bring it closer to 100km/h.

Sweet as. Not sure where my calculations went wrong but yeah :P CHeers.

you are allowed to go the vxr sized wheels legally.
