Brisbanes Favourite Mechanic

Hey Guys
Just looking for some advice... Trying to find a reliable mechanic who knows what they are doing and isnt gunna charge like a wounded bull...
My 02 SRI is due for a major service and I dont have a regular mechanic... He has just hit 130K and I think he shoulda had a major service at 120...
Anyone got any suggestions?
I live between Brissy and Ipswich but am willing to travel for a well recommended mechanic..

Well... thats the thing - I have only had my car since 110K and I got told that he had a 'major' service done before I got him...
She couldnt give me reciepts or confirm what was done at the time..
So Im not sure whats needed...
Is there a way you can tell???

You may have guessed... not entirely mechanically minded here :(

have a look in the logbook and see what was marked as done. also see if you can contact the previous mechanic as they should have a record of what was done.
only thing you wouldn't be able to check easily without details would be the chains and water pump.
