Hey guys, add another +1 from Melbourne. Just sold my Stage 2 Mk5 Golf GTI and bought a CBR1000RR and a silver 2004 Barina SRi as a run around and found here while looking for some cheap and easy mods to do.

I've also been organising GB's with the Mazda club and GTI club for the last 6-7 years to the point where i now get GB prices in single orders for anything Whiteline so if you need anything don't hesitate to drop me a PM. I can get other stuff like DBA, EBC, RDA, Kings, Eibachs etc as well but discounts aren't always as nice as the ones i get for Whiteline gear, just depends on how much of that brand my guy shifts.

Thanks guys. Was thinking of ducking down the wreckers or Holden spares tomorrow morning and picking up e Vectra C intake... I don't suppose anyone knows if the part numbers listed in the How To are the same for Holden here as they are for Opel there? I'm assuming not but it would be easier if they were!

I had a look at the airbox on the weekend but seems like it doesn't have the lower pipe as noted in the How To's and there's nothing to really modify there and the top half pipe will be sucking nicely through the bellmouth anyway. One less thing to do :D Talked with a friend that runs a cam shop about some cams but they can't source blanks here at all so it'd mean pulling the car off the road and thats not going to happen! Seems like the Piper/Schrick etc have a monopoly on cams! If only we could get all those cool bits ze Jermans have over there... here.

Few mods completed now but not much to show and i still haven't given it a really good detail so some parts are a little grubby (ie around badges).

Mods now completed are Whiteline adjustable rear swaybar (PM me for good price), K&N replacement panel filter, Vectra C intake + extra trimming, stubby antenna (randomly found in my shed... for less drag :laughhard: ) and replacement headlight globes (is that even a mod?).

Put in a full set of Narva Blue Power (not wanky blue coloured globes) *ADR approved upgraded headlight globes ("80% more light, 20% whiter light"), immediately noticably whiter light, should be a good improvement over the stock ones in terms of better light and more light i think... seriously miss bi-xenons in my old car!! Has also highlighted just how sandblasted the headlight lenses are, will require some rectification when my detailer gets his hands on it.

Put a set in the CBR as well seeing as i've been leaving and coming home in the dark, the other bonus on that is it'll be more noticable.

Old gearbox and handbrake gaiters had seen better days so ordered a new set from Top Gaiters on ebay, black leather with red stitching. Very happy with them, good quality, easy install, looks miles better! (Camera doesn't really pick up the red stitch very well but it is red) Other bonus is they are CHEAP!! $17AU including shipping from the UK!

Looks good. I also ordered them from top gaiters before. Extremely nice quality thick leather, very easy to fit and cheap
