i spend the vast majority of my time on this site looking through threads, checking out the pics you guys post of your cars and the mods you do.. but there isnt really one all inclusive thread where if you wanna see something specific, you can say "hey post pics of your engine bays", or "post pics of where you've mounted your gauges" or whatever

so i'll kick it off, i wanna see pics of engine bays, and where you've mounted your gauges! haha :P

Nah not yet... Its coming in to winter now again. But if ive still got the astra in this coming summer i will be looking into it. Ive got the big FMIC so that helps.

Hahahaha LOL that's correct Steve, it's still going to happen 'eventually' :p as soon as I get my hands on a good high res cam :) missed out on getting one O/S recently because the purchase prices were no better than local deals...

I'm always adding/modifying more and more to it anyway, so would be good to do it when I feel it's totally complete, the centre console already has alot more trick gear which I'm fitting soon to it (inbuilt satnav. with bluetooth and a trick OBD 2 ecu info reader with full digital display) and there's more to come both interior and under the bonnet :)

My new base plate set up for the boost gauge. instead of making holes in the pillar or dash I just removed the vent and made a bracket and plate to suite the vent hole.

Sorry, but that dosn't look awesome - it looks silly !

Lowering is always good and done correctly still works (as in the car still drives well) , too low dosn't look or work right, so what's the point of doing it ??

Can understand full blown show cars being done that way purely for show, but a street car = total fail...

Halley's VXR has 180kw atw.
and Rory's Nurb is prob close to the same.

That's fair enough, always a case of each to their own :)

However looks have always got to give way to usuability in the end, especially as said for a driven street car with this kind of modification...that Astra above would be bumping and scrubbing like a wounded bull even on mild road bumps, not to mention front guard scrapping when turning on uneven or height changing surfaces such as road to driveways, surely it would be aggravating after a week or 2...so a total waste of time in the 1st place...would be impossible to get insurance like that too, which is another important issue to think about...

yeah probably! although in my VL, ive got 19 x 8's, and my guards are rolled or lipped or anything, and even with a full carload i never scrubbed or anything.. so who knows

but as for my astra, its low enough in the front, but the back has about 8 - 10mm between the guard and the tyre, id love to have it about 8 - 10mm lower at the back :(

and to answer your question from before my rims are the Vectra C CDXi 17" rims. I dont think there that similar to the Sigs, but my Commodore mates do

SRiT has a smaller turbo and smaller injectors and AFM. Stock Z20LER turbo should see around 150kwatw. Stock Z20LEH turbo will see around 180kwatw max.

same as a Clubsport is still a commodore

so what are you guys arguing? that the vxr should not be considered a H?
the talk was about platform, not engine. Otherwise why would we compare a G and a H anyway?
