My fiances Suzuki vs one large truck.. happened right outside our driveway this morning, at least she didn’t have to walk far J

Truck driver said he was adjusting his rear vision mirror as he was coming around the corner in the pics & didn’t see her (she was on the left side of the road, & he cut the corner)

Good cars though.. still starts & drives ok :) Probably a write off though.

I believe it was the driver that caused the incident, not the truck

happens sometimes, driver just picked the wrong time to lapse in attention... good luck with insurance

True, but trucks are like taxi's, careless..

not trucks... truck drivers
and not all truck drivers... same as a car driver... they can be careless too ;)

im +1 on guy... i bet he could buff it out :p (not really, fingers crossed insurance comes through with the right result)

please note im not trying to turn this into a driver stereotype argument... just pointing out the facts....

Just one thing I want to input.

I drive a truck 6 days a week for a living... my office is the road. When you spend that much time on the road you get to know what you can and cant do to make your day at the office go more smoothly. To the observer some actions may seem careless but infact the driver (hopefully) is well aware of what their vehicle can and cannot do. On the other side of the fence, we have the average commuter who may spend 1 to 3 hours a day on the road, in their commute to and from work. I think you will probably find the vast majority of accidents are between the drivers who do not drive as a profession (I have not done the statistical research behind this however).

the issue in question here appears not to be a case of pushing the vehicle to its limits (in what some would call 'being careless') but rather a lapse in focus on the road by the driver, which could happen to anyone.

have a nice day :)

..yeah fingers XXXX'd it's a writeoff.. she's ok, was very freaked out as she was stationary, and saw the truck coming for quite a few seconds before it hit.

Weird thing is, the driver had a mate with him, you think he would've been screaming his head off.. Nice guys though, very apologetic & distraction can happen to the best of us, whether it's in a car, truck, bus, plane.

BTW the truck was only a few weeks old..maybe they were busy working out how to play a Beyonce CD
