View Full Version : Nail in tyre

When walking back to my car today I noticed a nail in the front passenger side tyre.

It is right in the middle of the tyre, with the head of the nail just a fraction lower than the surface of tyre. It appears to be just a normal nail.

Should I get this repaired or wait until I need new tyres? There's still plenty of rubber left on tyre, and it doesn't appear to be leaking air in any way.

Get to a tyre dealer. $20 should see them remove the nail, plug the hole, re-fit the wheel and you are on your way.
Small nail now, big blow out when you least expect, or need, it.

You could supervise... or wipe sweat from brows..... or something....
Maybe stand up from the car with a traffic cone on your (respective) heads warning oncoming traffic :-)
